Easy Cheese Boreks Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2 (3 ounce)packagescream cheese with chives, softened to room temperature
  2. 2tablespoons gratedparmesan cheese
  3. 1teaspoonWorcestershire sauce
  4. 2-3dropsliquid red pepper seasoning
  5. 2 (8 ounce)packages refrigerated crescentrolls

DIRECTIONS

  1. Blend together cream cheese, Parmesan, Worcestershire and pepper-seasoning; reserve.
  2. Unroll refrigerated crescent rolls- do not separate at the perforations-then pat each of the 8 pieces so that it is as square as possible.
  3. Cut each piece in half.
  4. Place 2 tsp.
  5. of the cheese mixture down the center of each piece of dough.
  6. Roll as if for a jelly roll to enclose your filling.
  7. Seal edges by crimping firmly with the tines of a fork.
  8. Place boreks seam side down on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  9. Bake at 350* uncovered, for about 15 min.
  10. or until browned.
  11. Serve hot.

Hubbard Squash and Orange Puree Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2lbshubbard squash, any seeds and membrane removed
  2. 1/4cupwater
  3. 2teaspoons gratedorange zest
  4. 2tablespoonsfresh orange juice
  5. 2tablespoonsunsalted butter, cut in small pieces
  6. salt & freshly ground black pepper

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 400°; place unpeeled squash flesh side down in baking pan; pour water over squash; bake 30 minutes, turn over and bake another 30 minutes or until squash is tender and lightly carmelized.
  2. Scrape flesh off skin and puree in a food processor until smooth; add orange zest, orange juice, butter, salt and pepper; process to combine and serve warm.

French Beans with Toasted Hazelnuts Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1lbFrench haricots vert, trimmed(or green string beans julienned lengthwise)
  2. 1/3cup coarsely choppedhazelnuts, lightly toasted
  3. 1 1/2tablespoonsunsalted butter
  4. salt & freshly ground black pepper

DIRECTIONS

  1. Blanch the green beans for 5 minutes in boiling, salted water; shock in a colander under cold water; drain.
  2. Saute the hazelnuts in butter until warmed; add green beans and heat through; season with salt and pepper and serve immediately.

Man On the Moon Cake with LUNAR ICING Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 3eggs
  2. 1/2cupoil
  3. 2cupsflour
  4. 1teaspoonbaking soda
  5. 1/4teaspoonsalt
  6. 2teaspoonsvanilla
  7. 2teaspoonscinnamon
  8. 2cupssugar
  9. 4cups choppedapples
  10. LUNAR LANDING ICING

  11. 1 (3 ounce)packagecream cheese
  12. 1/4cupoleo
  13. 1 1/2cupsconfectioners’ sugar
  14. 1teaspoonvanilla

DIRECTIONS

  1. Beat eggs and oil till foamy.
  2. Add flour, soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Fold in rest of the ingredients.
  4. Pour into greased 9 x 13 x 2 pan.
  5. Bake about 40 minutes at 350 ยบ F.
  6. blend all ingredients until creamy (add few drops of milk if necessary).
  7. Spread on warm cake.

Cocoa Cookie Hearts Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1/2cupbutter or margarine, softened
  2. 1cupsugar
  3. 2eggs
  4. 2cupsall-purpose flour
  5. 1/2cupcocoa
  6. 1teaspoonbaking powder
  7. 1/2teaspoonbaking soda
  8. 1/2teaspoonsalt

DIRECTIONS

  1. In large mixer bowl, beat butter, sugar and eggs until light and flully.
  2. Stir remaining ingredients together in separate bowl.
  3. Gradually add to butter mixture, beating until well blended.
  4. Cover; refrigerate dough until firm enough to handle.
  5. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  6. On lightly floured surface, roll dough to 1/8-inch thickness; cut with cookie cutters.
  7. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  8. Bake 5 to 7 minutes or until no imprint remains when cookies are touched lightly in center.
  9. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
  10. Cool completely.
  11. Frost or decorate as desired.
