INGREDIENTS
- 1lbround steaks, cut in 1 inch pieces
- 3/4cupquick-cooking barley
- 1 (10 1/2 ounce)cancondensed golden mushroom soup
- 3/4cupwater
- 8-12ounces freshsliced mushrooms
DIRECTIONS
- Combine all ingredients in the slow cooker; mix well.
- Cover and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours.

INGREDIENTS
- 4lbschicken pieces
- 1cupchicken broth
- 1cupraisinsor sultanas
- 1tablespoonflour
- 1/4lbbutter
- 2cupsorange juice
- 1/4teaspooncinnamon
- salt and pepper
DIRECTIONS
- Heat butter in a large skillet, and brown chicken.
- Remove chicken to cooker as the brown.
- Combine all other ingredients, except flour, in skillet.
- Mix well and pour over chicken.
- Cover pot, turn on LOW and cook 4 to 6 hours, or until chicken is tender.
- Remove one cup of sauce from pot and combine with flour, mixing well.
- Return sauce flour mixture to the pot.
- Turn pot on HIGH and cook and additional half hour.

INGREDIENTS
- 4mediumtomatoes or tomatoes, ripe but firm
- 1cupcooked riceor couscous or quinoa(or other grain)
- 1/2cup toastedpine nutsor almonds
- 3clovesgarlic, finely minced
- 3tablespoons freshparsley, finely minced or1-1 1/2 tablespoondried parsley
- 4tablespoonsparmesan cheese, grated
- salt & pepper
- sprayolive oilor vegetable oil
DIRECTIONS
- Cut the tops from the tomatoes- save.
- Scoop out the inside of the tomatoes leaving a solid shell, chop the tomato pulp.
- Mix the pulp with the grain, nuts, garlic, parsley cheese and season with salt& pepper.
- Fill the tomatoes with the mixture, replace tops.
- Spray the tomatoes lightly with oil, set them close together in an oven proof dish.
- Bake in 375F oven for apprx 25 minutes or until hot through.
- Remove carefully.

INGREDIENTS
- 1chicken
- 1smallonion, minced
- 2teaspoonssugar
- 2teaspoonsdried thyme
- 1teaspoonsalt
- 1/2teaspoonground nutmeg
- 1/2teaspoonground cinnamon
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Coat a roasting pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- Place chicken in pan.
- In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients and mix well.
- Rub mixture evenly over chicken.
- Bake 60 to 90 minutes until chicken is no longer pink and juices run clear.

INGREDIENTS
- 2largesweet potatoes, peeled,halved and cut into 1/2 inch thick slices
- 2tart apples, peeled,cored and cut into thin slices
- 2vegetarian sausage patties
- 1/2teaspooncinnamon
- 1pinchnutmeg
DIRECTIONS
- Boil the sweet potato slices until just barely tender.
- Meanwhile, in a non-stick skillet.
- Cook the veg sausage until well browned and crumbled.
- Mix together the cooked sweet potatoes, apples, cooked sausage, corn, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Transfer to a glass baking dish, cover and cook in a 350 degree oven until the apples are tender (about 45 minutes).
- Serve hot.
