INGREDIENTS
-
COOKIE WAFERS
- 1 (18 1/4 ounce)boxdark chocolate cake mix
- 1/3cupwater
- 2tablespoonsCrisco shortening

CREME FILLING
- 3 1/2cupsicing sugar
- 1/2tablespoongranulated sugar
- 1/2teaspoonvanilla
- 1/2cupCrisco shortening(NOT butter or margarine, use only plain shortening)
- 3tablespoonshot water
DIRECTIONS
- set oven to 325 degrees.
- Blend all cookie wafer ingredients; knead with your hands until it is pliable like dough.
- Form dough into 3-inch balls, Place on a greased cooke sheet 1/2-inch apart.
- Press down the cookies with the bottom of a glass.
- Bake 4-6 minutes, or until cookies are crunchy.
- Note: another way to do this, is shape dough into long rolls; refrigerate 2-3 hours, remove from fridge, and slice the dough 1/8-inch thick, then bake.
- Let cookies cool on sheets.
- FOR FILLING: Combine all filling ingredients; mix well.
- Form into balls about 1/2- 3/4-inch in diameter.
- Again, using your hands, sandwich one filling in the center of two cookies, and carefully press down until the filling spreads almost to the edge.

INGREDIENTS
- 1cupbutter, softened
- 2cups gratedcheddar cheese
- 2cupsflour
- 2cupsRice Krispies
- 1/2teaspooncayenne pepper
DIRECTIONS
- Set oven to 350 degrees.
- Prepare a greased cookie sheet.
- In a bowl, blend all ingredients.
- Shape into small balls.
- Flatten with a fork.
- Bake for 15 minutes.
- Note: the mix from the cheese Crispers can be prepared ahead, and stored in the fridge until ready to bake.

INGREDIENTS
- 2tablespoonsbutter
- 2-4 freshminced garlic cloves
- 1largeonion, minced
- 3tablespoonscider vinegar
- 1cupchili sauce(Heinz is good)
- 1cupunsweetened pineapple juice(juice from crushed pineapple is good)
- 1cupcrushed pineapple(drained, use the juice)
- 4tablespoonsbrown sugar
- 2tablespoonsworcestershire sauce
- 1/2tablespoonmustard powder
- 2tablespoonslemon juice
- 1cup jack danielsbourbon
- 2tablespoonsred hot pepper sauce, diced(optional, add only if you like it extra hot)or1 habanero pepper, diced(optional, add only if you like it extra hot)
DIRECTIONS
- In a large saucepan, saute onion and garlic, until the onion is transparent.
- Add in the remaining ingredients EXCEPT the Jack Daniels whiskey.
- Bring to a boil; turn down to a simmer.
- Simmer for 1 hour.
- Add in the Jack Daniels and the hot pepper sauce or the habanero pepper (if using), simmer for another 10 minutes.
- Cool to room temperature.
- Store in fridge for 4-5 hours before using, to marinate flavors.
- Note: although you may omit the hot pepper sauce and the hot pepper, this barbecue sauce needs a certain amount of spice in order to bring out the taste.

INGREDIENTS
- 3golden delicious apples
- 2/3cupwater
- 1/2tablespoonflour
- 1teaspooncornstarch
- 2teaspoonsButter Buds
- 1/2cuplight brown sugar
- 1/4teaspooncinnamon
DIRECTIONS
- Set oven to 350 degrees.
- Peel and core apples.
- Cut each one into 16 slices.
- Arrange slices on a greased 8″ x 8″ baking dish.
- In a small bowl, combine the water with flour, cornstarch and butter Buds; stir until the dry ingredients are dissolved and not lumpy.
- Add in the brown sugar and cinnamon, stir until smooth.
- Pour the cinnamon mixture over the apple slices.
- Cover the dish with foil; bake for 40 minutes.
- Stir the apples every 10 minutes.

INGREDIENTS
- 6tablespoonsbutter, softened(no substitutions)
- 3tablespoonswhipping cream, unwhipped(35%)
- 1teaspoonvanilla
- 3cupsconfectioners’ sugar
- food coloring (optional)
DIRECTIONS
- In a bowl, beat together the butter, whipping cream and vanilla until smooth (about 3 minutes).
- Add in confectioners sugar; beat very well until smooth, adding more if necessary to achieve desired consistency.
- Note: In order for the icing to have a creamy texture, only whipping cream must be used.
