Savory Apple Brunch Bake Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1lbbacon
  2. 1medium unpeeledcooking apple, peeled and chopped(1 cup, Rome beauty, golden delicious or greening)
  3. 2tablespoonssugar
  4. 1 1/2cupsBisquick
  5. 1 1/2cupsmilk
  6. 4eggs
  7. 2cups shreddedcheddar cheese

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat oven to 375°F.
  2. Grease rectangular baking dish 11×7x11/2-inches.
  3. Cook the bacon in skillet over medium heat, turning occasionally, until crisp.
  4. Drain on paper towels; cool, then crumble bacon into small pieces.
  5. Mix apple and sugar and spread into baking dish stir the Bisquick milk and eggs until blended pour over the apples and sprinkle with bacon and cheese.
  6. Bake uncovered until knife inserted in center comes out clean.

Platinum Blondies Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 3/4cup packedlight brown sugar, plus
  2. 2tablespoons packedlight brown sugar
  3. 1largeegg
  4. 2teaspoonsvanilla extract
  5. 8tablespoonsunsalted butter, melted
  6. 1 1/2cupsall-purpose flour
  7. 1/2teaspoonbaking soda
  8. 1/8teaspoonsalt
  9. 1cup choppedpecans, toasted
  10. 4ounceswhite chocolate, chopped(or 3/4 cup white chocolate chips)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. Grease an 8″ square baking pan.
  3. Beat sugar and egg until fluffy, about 3 minutes with mixer.
  4. Add vanilla and butter, and beat to mix well.
  5. In a small bowl, stir flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Add flour mixture to the butter mixture, beat just until incorporated.
  7. Don’t overmix.
  8. Stir in the pecans and white chocolate with a spoon.
  9. Note: I buy a good quality white chocolate bar, and beat it in the package with a heavy spoon or meat tenderizer to break it up into chunks before opening the package, and pouring into the mixture.
  10. Spoon the batter into the pan and smooth the top.
  11. Bake for 25- 30 minutes, until the top is dry and golden, and a knife inserted in the center comes out with just a few crumbs, not perfectly dry yet.
  12. Remove from the oven and cool.
  13. Cut into 2″ squares.

Baked Brie with Sun-Dried Tomatoes Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1/2jarsun-dried tomatoes packed in oil, well drained on paper towels
  2. 3clovesgarlic
  3. 1tablespoontomato sauce(tomato puree)
  4. 2tablespoonsred wine
  5. 1/2teaspoondried basil leaves
  6. 1/2teaspoondried oregano leaves
  7. 1/2teaspoonsugar
  8. 6ouncesbrie cheese

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a mini food processor with metal blade, pulse together the tomatoes, garlic, tomato sauce, red wine and sugar until tomatoes are chopped fine and everything is well blended.
  2. Stir in basil and oregano.
  3. Pile generously on top if the cheese and heat through in a 350 degree F oven until cheese is soft.
  4. Serve with slices of French baguette bread.

Sun-Dried Tomato Dip Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1/3cupsun-dried tomatoes packed in oil, drained
  2. 1cuplight cream cheese
  3. 1/2cuplight sour cream
  4. 1/2cuplight mayonnaise
  5. 1teaspoon sweet garlicChinese chili sauce
  6. 1pinchsalt
  7. 1pinchpepper
  8. 2green onions, thinly sliced

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a food processor and using the metal blade, blend together tomatoes, cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, chili sauce, salt and pepper, until smooth.
  2. Add green onions and pulse about 5 times.
  3. Serve at room temperature with crackers or bagel chips.

Oriental Chicken Wings Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2lbschicken wings, tips removed
  2. 1/4cuplow sodium soy sauce
  3. 1/4cupbrown sugar
  4. 1/4cuphoney
  5. 1/4cuprice vinegar
  6. 1tablespoon mincedgingerroot
  7. 3clovesgarlic, minced
  8. toasted sesame seeds(to garnish)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Pre-heat oven to 450 degrees F.
  2. Mix all marinade ingredients and heat slightly to melt honey.
  3. Pour over chicken wings.
  4. Bake for 1 1/2 hours on a sprayed foil lined baking sheet (turn frequently) until marinade has thickened and wings are glossy.
  5. Remove to heated platter and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
