Creamy Veggie Soup Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2 1/2cupsreduced-fat milk
  2. 2teaspoonsbutter
  3. 1smallonion, chopped
  4. 1 (14 1/2 ounce)canfat-free chicken broth
  5. 1largepotato, peeled and cut into 1/2 inch cubes
  6. 1 1/2cupscarrots, thinly sliced
  7. 2cups smallbroccoli florets or green beans, fresh cut
  8. 1 1/2teaspoonssalt
  9. 1/4teaspoonpepper
  10. 1/4cupall-purpose flour

DIRECTIONS

  1. Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add onion.
  3. Cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add broth, potato and carrots.
  5. Bring to a boil over high heat.
  6. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered 5 minutes.
  7. Add broccoli, salt and pepper.
  8. Cook 5 minutes.
  9. Place flour in a medium bowl.
  10. Gradually stir in milk, mixing well.
  11. Add milk mixture to soup.
  12. Bring to a simmer.
  13. Simmer uncovered 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender and soup has thickened.
  14. For chicken vegetable soup, stir in 2 cup diced cooked chicken breast.

Pink Artic Freeze Salad Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 3ouncescream cheese
  2. 3tablespoonsmayonnaise(not sald dressing)
  3. 3tablespoonssugar
  4. 1 (1 lb)canwhole berry cranberry sauce
  5. 1 (9 ounce)cancrushed pineapple
  6. 1/2cup choppedwalnutsor pecans
  7. 1cupwhipping cream

DIRECTIONS

  1. Soften cream cheese.
  2. Blend in mayonaise and sugar.
  3. Add fruit and nuts.
  4. Fold in whipped cream.
  5. Pour into an 8by8 inch serving dish.
  6. Freeze firm at least six hours or overnight.
  7. Let stand a few minutes at room temperature before serving.
  8. This may be doubled to keep an extra one in the freezer.
  9. You may also use a whole pkg.
  10. of 8 oz.
  11. cream cheese, either way is ok.

Earth Scrub (a green "soft scrub") all-purpose cleaner Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 2/3cupsbaking soda
  2. 1/2cupliquid soap
  3. 1/2cupwater
  4. 2tablespoonswhite vinegar

DIRECTIONS

  1. Stir liquid soap into baking soda.
  2. Add the water, and stir to be as smooth as possible.
  3. Add the vinegar and stir again.
  4. Pour into a squeeze bottle.
  5. (A clean, empty ketchup or syrup bottle works well.) Shake well before using, and keep tightly closed between uses.

Champagne Salad Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 (8 ounce)packagecream cheese
  2. 3/4cupsugar
  3. 1 (12 ounce)containerCool Whip
  4. 1 (20 ounce)cancrushed pineapple, drained
  5. 1packagefrozen strawberries, thawed
  6. 2largebananas
  7. 1/4cup crushedpecans

DIRECTIONS

  1. Place strawberries in water to thaw.
  2. Cream together cream cheese and sugar.
  3. Add Cool Whip.
  4. Drain pineapple and add to mixture.
  5. Add strawberries (and any juice) to mixture.
  6. Slice bananas into 1/4″ slices and add to mixture.
  7. Mix thoroughly.
  8. Spread into oblong pan,then sprinkle with crushed pecans.
  9. Freeze until firm-overnight is best.
  10. Thaw at least 30 minutes before serving.

Norwegian Meatballs Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2lbsground beef
  2. 1/2lbpork sausage
  3. 2eggs
  4. 2/3cuphalf-and-half
  5. 1/2cupflour
  6. 1teaspoonsalt
  7. 1/2teaspoonpepper
  8. 1/2teaspoonginger
  9. 2tablespoons mincedonions(or more)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix all ingredients and refrigerate overnight.
  2. The next day form into meatballs and brown in a skillet.
  3. Place the browned meatballs in a large baking pan.
  4. Make a gravy using the drippings in the skillet adding flour and beef broth.
  5. Simmer gravy and pour over meatballs.
  6. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees.
